The infectiously amiable Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney was appointed to the Board of FBN Insurance Brokers Ltd in 2017. She is a seasoned marketer and communicator who brings to bear a total management actionable vision to her role as captain of the highly demanding marketing and corporate communications group of FirstBank, the number one banking brand in Nigeria. She previously served as Chief Marketing and Communication Officer for the Dangote Group, the largest conglomerate in Africa. Prior to this, Folake had responsibility for Brands, Policies and Communications for British Airways PLC across the Europe & Africa region.
Folake holds a first degree in Philosophy and a second degree in Law, and a Diploma in Business Computing Systems Analysis and Design. She is the President of Advertisers’ Association of Nigeria (ADVAN), an Honourary Member of The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK, a member of the National Institute of Marketing Nigeria, and serves in an advisory capacity to many organisations on strategy and marketing communications issues. An alumna of the prestigious Harvard Business school, Folake chairs or co-chairs a handful of private sector and NGO Boards, and her appointments to select committees, such as the Presidential Committee on Efficiency, enable her contribute meaningfully to the public sector. She is happily married with three children and currently lives in Nigeria.
