Oladipupo Dirisu is the Head, Risk and Compliance of FBNHoldings Plc. He is a seasoned banker with over 23 years’ banking experience most of which have been dedicated to honing his skills as a risk management expert across banks in Nigeria. His leadership abilities, coupled with a keen problem-solving acumen, has been proven in both local and international banking landscapes. He brings to the management of FBNHoldings a rich expertise in risk management encompassing various domains, including credit risk, market risk, liquidity, and operational risk management.
Prior to joining First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Oladipupo played pivotal roles across various banks in Nigeria including Ecobank Nigeria Limited, where he served as the Regional Risk Manager for Lagos and West; First City Monument Bank Limited, and Nigerian American Merchant Bank Limited. At Ecobank Nigeria Limited, he made significant contributions as the pioneer Operational Risk Manager, establishing essential structures for comprehensive risk management within the organisation.
Oladipupo served as the Head of the Risk Management Department in FirstBank until his appointment to the executive management of FBNHoldings.
A proud alumnus of the Senior Management Development Program (SMDP) at First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Dipupo has been steadily committed to personal and professional growth which is evident in his exposure to and participation in several relevant credit and risk management training programs by credible institutions such as Euromoney, HSBC London and Lagos Business School.
Oladipupo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, He is an honorary member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and one of the certified mentors in FirstBank’s mentoring Programme.
He is happily married with children.
